Job Description: We are seeking a highly experienced Tax Director to join our client’s Financial Services Tax team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience in financial services tax at a senior level. As a Tax Director, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic tax advice and solutions to our financial services clients.

Key Requirements:

  • ACA/CTA/ACCA or equivalent qualification is essential.
  • Extensive experience in financial services tax, in particular offshore funds’ legislation, reporting fund regulations, and taxation of UK OEICs, Investment trusts, VCTs, and asset managers.
  • Strong commitment to client service excellence and value addition.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex tax concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead teams, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Demonstrated business development acumen, with a focus on driving team and business growth.
  • Proficiency in using Alphatax and Excel to manage tax compliance and reporting requirements effectively.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating closely with Partners to expand the practice, cultivate strong client relationships, and ambitiously aim to double the practice’s size within three years.
  • Overseeing a significant portfolio of asset management clients, managing tax compliance and advisory work, and coordinating with specialists and international teams as necessary.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to the firm’s Quality and Risk Management (QRM) procedures and consistently meeting deadlines across multiple engagements.
  • Taking a leadership role in driving business development initiatives within the current client base while actively pursuing opportunities with prospective clients.
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members through coaching and on-the-job training, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Handling financial management aspects including billing and debtor management to ensure efficient operations within the practice.
