Interim Accounts Payable Associate (FTC)

£35 000 – £40 000 (pro-rata)

We have been exclusively retained by a global consultancy firm to support their search for an AP Associate to take responsibility of accounts payable transactions, processes and accounting for multiple entities across the US and Europe.

Responsibilities:
* Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable processes for Europe and US entities, ensuring seamless coordination with the Accounts Payable Team.
* Foster and maintain strong business relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors by ensuring timely, accurate payments and clear, consistent communication.
* Design, implement, and continuously improve policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance efficiency, productivity, and compliance with both internal standards and regulatory requirements.
* Manage and optimize the employee expense reimbursement process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to company policies.
* Perform monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are promptly addressed.
* Analyse and report on accounts payable data to provide insights and support decision-making for the business.
* Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all accounts payable activities are completed accurately and on time.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the accounts payable function.
* Handle ad-hoc requests and generate reports as needed to meet the dynamic needs of the business.

Skills & Experience:
* 4-5 years’ experience in a similar role
* Experience dealing with multiple jurisdictions
* Excellent communication, customer service and relationship management skills
* Proactive self-starter who works well both independently
* Microsoft D365 would be highly advantageous
