Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
  • Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with and prepare reports according to applicable government regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
  • Achieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Provide financial analysis and support for operations.
  • Handle significant data entry and ensure all financial records are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Work closely with the CFO, AP Manager, and AP Clerk to streamline processes and improve financial controls.
  • Prepare, review, and present monthly financial budgeting reports including monthly profit and loss, forecast vs. budget, and cash flow.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
  • Train, and retain competent accounting staff.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in accounting with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks is essential.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with at least three days a week in the office.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive and adaptable attitude.
  • Experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry is a plus.
