Tax Senior - 12 months maternity contract

A rare opportunity due to maternity leave has arisen for a niche firm which has en extensive client list of media professionals. In this mixed tax role you will manage a portfolio of 250 clients. In Addition to reviewing the work of junior staff and undertaking team management, you will work on technical tax planning issues as they arise.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of 250 clients consisting of sole traders, directors and partnerships;
• Preparation of forms P11D;
• Reporting directing directly to Partners and Managers;
• Ensure professional standards are met and supervise and develop more junior staff;
• Assist and review the work of junior staff and undertake team management;
• Undertake technical and tax planning issues as they arise on the allocation;
• Advise clients of Corporation tax payments due;
• Develop professional relationships with clients and within the firm;
• Pay attention to self-development and continuing professional education with a view to progressing in practice;
• Acting as a responsible member of the team, providing support, development and guidance to more junior members;
• Producing work for manager and partner review which requires little further input, clearly highlights issues and provides potential solutions to issues identified.

Technical Requirements:

• 3 years tax experience.
• Preferable experience including media, and owner managed businesses.
