Headquartered in the UK and with operations based in the US, we are one of the industry leaders, with an estimated seven per cent of the world’s pharmaceutical market.We are now seeking to further strengthen our well-respected tax team by recruiting Assistant Tax Managers to support the VP Global Tax Strategy and the Tax Directors. You will gain excellent exposure to a wide range of corporate tax matters. Responsibilities will include: ■ Advising a broad spectrum of business functions on tax aspects associated with proposed business initiatives, both within the UK and overseas; ■ Developing dividend and funding plans with overseas subsidiaries; ■ Assisting with the preparation of proposals involving business or entity restructuring both within the UK and overseas; ■ Reviewing tax computations prepared by the outsourced service centre, dealing with HMRC queries as well as managing the relationship with the HMRC. This is an opportunity to gain a breadth of tax planning experience with a truly global FTSE 100 group. Preferably ACA/CTA-qualified, you will be a team player with a good knowledge of accountancy and experience of dealing with complex UK and international tax issues for a large multi-national organisation. Strong communication skills are essential in building effective working relationships with both external advisers and the businesses.
