VAT Manager - Financial Services

The UK General Insurance Tax Department of this organisation provides a comprehensive tax advisory, tax reporting and tax compliance service to the business, covering both direct taxes and indirect taxes for the wider UK Group.

The purpose of the role is to provide tax technical advice on a wide range of indirect tax issues.  These can include assessing and advising on impacts of new UK legislation, working across the UK group to ensure that the systems and processes are Tax compliant.  Where appropriate, you will work with the Group tax Technical Director on challenging and frequently high-profile matters. Part of the role will include people management responsibility for indirect taxes advisors.  

This is an opportunity to work with senior professionals both in tax and the wider business, with the chance to influence as well as react to the outcome.

Key requirements:

• Relevant professional qualifications e.g CTA, AIIT.
• HM Revenue & Customs or practice experience
• Current VAT experience gained within in a Practise or Industry environment.
• Addtionally you will have excellent commuinication skills and the ability to be a proactive team player.
