VAT Assistant

As part of this Indirect Tax Team you will be responsible for supporting the Tax manager (VAT compliance) and other members of the VAT team with tax compliance related tasks and on project work.

Principle responsibilities will include:

• Completion of VAT returns (excluding of Tesco VAT group)
• Detailed systems analysis and support Tax managers in the Tax team om projects to enhance the VAT compliance processes within the Tesco Group
• Maintenance of the VAT process manual, monitoring and investigating of additions or changes to the UK product file
• Preparing a detailed report for submission to HRMC on a monthly basis
• Supporting and provision of data for HRMC VAT audits

You will ideally have prior experience of dealing with tax compliance issues. Any knowledge of planning and business analysis would also be beneficial and you will be able to develop them further. You will be a strong teamplayer with the drive and enthusiasm to develop yourself and others and gain commitment for tax across the group.
